Kitchen Kitsch Pressies

If you're anything like me you will still have an uncompleted Christmas gift shopping list and be frantically searching your local Westfield for the perfect pressie.  Help is close at hand lovelies....  Kitchen Kitsch to the rescue!! I have some leftover Xmas treats just itching to be popped into an awaiting stocking and it's all handmade with love!

First up I have some 100% cotton Kitchen Kitsch aprons. Cute little baker's aprons made from fab fabric imported from the US and how's about that rik rak??? Massive!!! Also from the States and modelled by the stylish, albeit headless, Miss H....

"Your Branches Green" Christmas Apron

"Palm Tree in a Pantry" Christmas Apron

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" Christmas Apron

"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"
Christmas Apron

Background is actually cream but looks a little...um....green...

"Feliz Navidad" Christmas Wreath

"Kala Christouyenna"
Christmas Wreath

Greek for "Merry Christmas"......really.

This one has a matching table runner!!! You heard me! Measures 135cmX42cm and is reversible....one for Christmas Day, one for Boxing Day.....I know, right!!

This girl's matching wreath has been sold, but she can certainly still hold her own. Patterned on one side and peppermint with a tiny white spot on the reverse (photo does not do her justice).

Christmas Bunting galore!! Measuring approx 2metres long with 10 assorted flags. Now this is a much easier option than having to lug your big Chrissy tree with you to the holiday house/camping ground/van park. Instant Christmas Glamour without losing any valuable Havaiana and sarong-packing space. Did I mention these babies are backed with calico and are carried by pretty lace edging?? Sweet!

.......and Christmas Doily Decos. 3 sizes - small 6cm diameter off white with green gingham ribbon, medium 8cm diameter white with red gingham ribbon, large 9cm diameter white with green gingham ribbon....hey! All made from vintage crocheted tablecloths.

Cute either hanging on your tree or used for decorating Christmas presents! If you have any questions or would like to know some prices please don't hesitate to email me on kaj70@bigpond.net.au.

Busy Busy!

I can't believe it has been more than a week since my last post. I adore Christmas but unfortunately never get a chance to sit back and enjoy the lead up and I know I'm not alone when I say this. I'm horrified to admit that I haven't even put up my Chrissie decorations......abominable!! I usually like to get them up mid November so I can drain every last drop of enjoyment out of them.
So what have I been doing? And why do I think anyone wants to know?! Well, apart from ballet rehearsals, tap rehearsals, costume checks, Christmas concerts, work, and the general day-to-day running around (and a movie with Big Sis that I squeezed in at the start of the week! Belated birthday pressie, thanks Mrs.S!) I have been madly crafting, pricing, ticketing (and stressing) for my very first Market Day on Sunday! It's been fun and madness all at once. Here are the official details.....would love to see some familiar faces on the day, and it's for a great cause. A Brisbane family with a disabled little boy need help after thieves stole money intended for their endless medical expenses. If that doesn't get you there, nothing will.........

I'm Celebrating!

Kitchen Kitsch is now officially a business!!! I received my Registration details from my accountant in the mail today......now it's serious....and I'm seriously overwhelmed! Kitchen Kitsch will showcase a collection of my Vintage inspired aprons made by my clever Mum with a little bit of help from me, fabric craft such as bunting and noticeboards, vintage plate clocks, vintage and upcycled bric-a-brac, linens and much much more!!
I will also have a range of Christmas goodies that I'll be selling at the markets on November 27 (see previous post). These include Christmas aprons, decorations made from vintage doilies and fabric and lots of other lovelies.
Unfortunately Mr.D is working tonight so I'm saving the celebratory champers for tomorrow night when he is on his "week end"; until then I'll just do a very subdued "punch the air" and dream of what's to come......

.........looka moi!!!

Well today is the day I celebrate a couple of firsts....
1st first is "hooray!!!" I have finally published my first blog post after weeks of trying to work out how to set the darn thing up. Many long hours and sore bottoms later......et voila!!! So proud!
2nd first is that I went to my first Suitcase Rummage at Reddacliff Place in Brisbane city where I found all sorts of lovely treats and bought a few "souveniers" to bring back out to the 'burbs with me. Unfortunately the wind was blowing a westerley and Mr.D is not the most interested of rummagers, though he would never complain I felt it my duty to do a quick round of the suitcases and get outta there before I lost him all together. He did very well, as did I.

Little beauty un:

How cute is this lovely little tea cup and saucer I bought for a song!

Little beauty deux:

Pretty vintage cake plate sans carriage stem....I have some exciting plans for this one. Please excuse my (lack of)photographic skills; practise will make perfect.

Little beauty trois:

This is the CUTEST!! A gorgeous ring modelled by the gorgeous Miss H and made out of a teeny tiny cake plate from a mini tea set. Can't wait to go back and get the matching teapot necklace! But that will have to wait till next month.

Enough of my selfishness...Miss H and Miss M are starving and dinner will not make itself (read: my vino glass is empty).
